It is Over! Paul Romanuk's Most Memorable Call

canadahockeyI remember Paul Romanuk calling international hockey games in the 90s and his signature call "It.. is Over!" I've used that call several times in the past year alone, but I'm a sucker for memorable sports calls.

Paul Romanuk is also a regular reader of this blog. I received a nice note from him and I promised to plug his blog. He's living in England now but he keeps tabs on the homeland by reading the sludge posted here.

Go to http://www.paulromanuk.com/ and click "blog" at the top. I'd link straight to the blog, but Paul thinks it's 1997 and is using frames.

Here is where I'd insert the audio or video of Paul Romanuk declaring "It is Over!" but he doesn't have it and I can't find it anywhere on line. If you've got it, and I'm looking at you Down Goes Brown, hook me up and I'll share it.

As for this entry, it is over!

I love Paul Romanuk and his signature "It is Over!" call. I first learned of Paul's blog via Freddie P. but unfortunately, can't get the RSS feed option to work in Google Reader for his bog. Since I use Google Reader to aggregate all of my blog feeds, I don't catch all of his posts unless I remember to go right to his site - which I don't always do. I've tried the RSS feed button that's on his site but get the error message "Did not match any feeds" when I add it to my Google Subscriptions. Any suggestions?

Kelly, I use Google Reader as well, and the feed works for me.

Subscribe to http://web.me.com/googoogoojoob/blog/Blog/rss.xml and it should be good to go.

So, what's wrong with 1997? Good year. Canada won the WJC, I had more hair. It was good.

Yeah, I know about the problem with my website. problem is, I don't know how to fix it. The ISP has to do a "frame re-direct" to the mac host or else comments won't work. Any suggestions, most welcome!

'97 was a good year.

I see... the true url for the blog home page is http://web.me.com/googoogoojoob/blog/Blog/Blog.html. With an .htaccess file in the root of paulromanuk.com you could redirect visitors to www.paulromanuk.com to http://web.me.com/googoogoojoob/blog/Blog/Blog.html which would be better than the current iframe setup, IMHO.

That .htaccess file I speak of is super easy to build. In any text editor, add this line and save it as .htaccess.

Redirect 301 / http://web.me.com/googoogoojoob/blog/Blog/Blog.html
