Omar Listenin'

Published by Toronto Mike on May 8, 2009 @ 12:18 in The Wire

thewireIt's come to my attention that I haven't blogged about The Wire all week. It's time to correct that oversight.

This is my favourite character on The Wire, Omar Little, and Brother Mouzone. The scene opens with Omar whistling "A Huntin' We Will Go" and closes with "Omar listenin'". Stafford, have you started watching yet?

Stafford doesn't like Lost.

But he digs Extras and The Office. So I will let those cancel each other out.

This is the deciding factor. If he doesn't like The Wire I have lost all hope.

Do I need to say this is the best show ever again?

Haven't seen The Wire yet but Extras and The Office are top notch. Curb Your Enth'm is great too.

Andrew, my "Lost" comment was a weak attempt at Seinfeld's observation a few week's ago at Massey Hall that everything today is either "great" or "sucks", ie: "I hear that movie is great!". "Really? I heard it sucked!"

As for The Wire, Mr. Boon....I'm still burning through all five seasons of Penn and Teller's "Bullshit" while reading P.J. O'Rourke's "Driving Like Crazy" and "I'll Sleep When I'm Dead: The Dirty Life And Times Of Warren Zevon".

Amazon.com owns my fat, grumpy old man Irish ass.

The Wire will be consumed on its own like a perfect sandwich on fresh, French stick bread.

Stafford:

Since you like Bullsh!t, I can give you a pass. Another great show.

I wish I saw the Seinfeld show.
