Google Car in the GTA

GoogleHoronymous just snapped a pick of the Google car making its way through his South East Mississauga neighbourhood. The Google car provides footage used for Google Street View, a feature of Google Maps and Google Earth that provides for many streets in the world 360° horizontal and 290° vertical panoramic views from a height of about two meters.

Here's his pic.

I saw it a couple of weeks ago on Eglington just east of Yonge. I've gone to the site to see if I appear on the street, but it hasn't been updated yet.

My 10 year old who ran outside with me to wave at the car wants to know what the delay is.

Oh my goodness, there's a bunch. I saw a green one entering my neighbourhood as I was leaving, my girlfriend saw a van, someone else I know spotted a blue one... how many do you think there are?

And they all appear to be driven by not so happy people...
