OK; I'm not a big Jian fan but this was painful. Every host has a horror story and Billy Bob appears to be a first class, grade A asshole.
Get over yourself. I feel sorry for the talented guys who need him for recogntion. Sorry but I've already forgotten the name of the band.

I have been watching a few video clips from this Montreal Radio Show and loving it. Kudos to Jian Ghomeshi. He remains the ultimate professional and keeps trying to engage Billy Bob in a dialogue that will showcase his music.
Billy Bob is an ass!! He began that inteview with a pissed off attitude and was ready to sabotage it right from the beginning. His confrontational attitude even makes his bandmates uncomfortable. If Bob is trying to be half funny, I love it.
It he's straight up being a pompous bitch than that's what he is.
Makes for great radio though. Nice work Jian, way to not be pushed around by big radio!

It's amazing to think that Jian wasn't the biggest loser in the room during this interview.

Was he HIGH? Wow that was weird...kudos to Jian for handling it so well. His bandmates seem mortified...the funniest thing is that they may never even have been on the radar if Billy Bob didn't have the recognition he has from acting etc.

I sure hope the CBC never again uses our tax dollars to give BBT one more moment of our airtime. I can't play a note, but I'd be a better interviewee - and I wouldn't give any instructions to the producer.

And if his bandmates happen to read this, either dump your drummer if you own the band name, or bolt if you don't.

As canadians, the best thing we can do if boycott bbt. It is unfortunate for his band, but they should shed that asshole, and get on with their lives. I personally will never see a movie with bbt, or listen to a song of his. Boycott bbt, and pass it along to everyone you know. The only way we can hurt this asshole is in his pocket book. Keep up the good work CBC David

Firing Billy Bob:

-Striking while the iron is hot, capitalizing on the publicity this has generated.

-Band is talented enough to not need BBT. If anything, he's holding them back.

-If they fired him, not only would Canada allow them to enter our country again, we'd embrace them and go to their shows in droves.
