Maple Leafs 4, Senators 3

LeafsIs it that time already? Time for the annual Maple Leafs surge? I remember this tease happens at this time every season. At least I've noticed it since the lockout.

These four wins in a row put us within seven points of Buffalo for the eighth and final playoff spot. Meanwhile, Burkey's a seller and Wilson's telling everyone who will listen that we're not making the playoffs.

Only in Leafs nation does the coach reassure fans that the Leafs aren't in fact making a run at the post season. Phew!

These guys are adding some real stress to my life. Why can't they just lose?????

They will not catch Buffalo, if they do, then I will eat my foot.

Oh no, we're running into trouble. We may be heading for the ultimate loss: no playoffs, and later round draft picks.

Since your leafs aren't going to land a good pick in the draft they might as well try for a play off spot. I never understood the tank nation strategy.

The leafs making the play offs would give this city a boost.

Any of you leaf fans work out the math on the remaining games?

I think we're all afraid to do the math. Doing the math makes us the Charlie Brown of the NHL. This time, Lucy will let us kick that ball! I know she will!

Good one. Even making the first round would give you guys a lift.
