Juno Awards: City and Colour with Gord Downie

musicI didn't watch a minute of the Juno Awards. Does that make me a bad Canadian? The artists receiving the big hype weren't my cup of tea and I cringe at the thought that Canadian music is now synonymous with Nickelback.

Because I didn't watch the Junos, I missed City and Colour with Gord Downie performing one of my favourite tracks of 2008. This is "Sleeping Sickness."

Am I the only one who's nervous because Gord Downie stood still for over a minute? hehe

There's a great video from the Virgin Festival last year that shows City and Colour playing this tune before Gord comes out for his part to surprise the audience. The crowd loved it by the sounds of things!

Canadian music is a lot better than what The Junos can round up on a stage. Blech.

Who wants to hang out with KD Lang and Anne Murray.

Probably a close to retiring school teacher or something.

And Nickelback... I think they're actually worse than American Idol.
