Just Do It

HeartI've never been a fan of this so-called-holiday. Valentine's Day is yet another marketing ploy, a monument to commercialism. For years I fought it, but after 13-years of marriage, I think I've finally figured it out.

Just do it. Yes, it's a stupid holiday, and we shouldn't be forced to buy chocolates and flowers or whatever, just because it's February 14, but resistance if futile. Just buy the flowers and chocolates, like I did, and reap the rewards.

Chicks dig it. It just makes them swoon. The sooner you accept defeat and give this victory to the greeting cards manufacturers and the flower shops, the sooner you'll realize it's just not worth the fight.

Just do it. Trust me.

The 14th was a Saturday of a long weekend, meaning those benefits could be reaped all long weekend.

Thanks Dolton!!!
