Maple Leafs 2, Canucks 4

LeafsThere's something appropriate about Kyle Wellwood tearing it up and scoring the opening goal last night. Poetic justice, perhaps?

We actually outshot the Canucks 30-15. It wasn't long ago that we weren't outshooting anybody, and now we regularly outshoot our opponents. When your starter only makes 5 saves on 9 shots, outshooting the other team isn't nearly enough to secure two points.

As I exit this recap and start preparing for one cold Santa Claus Parade, let me just say this: As mediocre as our record is, we are still ahead of the Sens. That, in essence, is my goal this season.

Current Record  Last Games Season Leaders
7-7-4
18 points
4th in Northeast Division
4-2 Loss vs. Vancouver
5-2 Win vs. Edmonton
4-3 Loss vs. Calgary
M. Stajan - 17
N. Antropov - 15
T. Kaberle- 14

Toskala looked terrible last night.
