Live Blogging A Toronto Morning Show

Published by Toronto Mike on September 23, 2008 @ 12:53 in Humble and Fred, Radio

RadioHumble Howard has invited me to sit in with the new EZ Rock morning show. It should be a crowded room as I join Humble, Kim Stockwood, Colleen Rusholme and Rick Hodge.

I'm going to sit in and live blog the show, assuming they can throw my laptop on the net. I want to document how it all comes together for those of us not in the biz. If nothing else, it should be good for shits and giggles.

Since I'll be there, hanging with the EZ Morning crew, I can get any info you want. What are you most curious about in the morning show radio universe? Do you have any specific questions for Humble, Kim, Colleen or Rick?

I'd like to know how much of their show is scripted. For example, do they discuss which news pieces they'll talk about before they start their show?

I'd also like to know how I'm supposed to tell Colleen and Kim apart ~ they sound very similar to me!

I want to know why rick left 99.9 if it was his choice or if he was forced out?

Stacy, he left 104.5, can't you keep track of the musical dee jays? :-)

So far I like the Humble, Kim, Colleen, Rick, Jim, Ethel, Bernice, Wally, Jake, Carly, Waldo, Poindexter and Ben Show.

What station is it on? And why don't they have more people on it?

I want to know if they actually like the music that they have to play. :)

What time does their alarm clock go off each day? After the morning show is over each morning at 9 Am....do they plan for the following the day/Is their work day complete? Do they go home? Do they nap during the afternoon? If they could each pick a 5 song set that reflects their personal likes and taste what would they pick?

What adjustments (if any) do the dj's have to make from working in a 1 or 2 person booth to now having to jungle four different personalties.

Are they all in the same room? Can you get them all to send a shout out to me...live?

Cool..

Umm.. I did the very same thing (minus the "live" blogging) as a Grade Eleven project...

So I don't have any questions.

Good questions... I'll get answers to all of them.

Throw down new ones as you think of them, I'm still arranging a date with the Humble one.
