Johnny Cash - The Man Comes Around
I just finished watching the 7-part miniseries from HBO about the United States Marine Corps' 1st Reconnaissance Battalion during the Iraq war's first phase in 2003. It's called "Generation Kill" and it was based on the book of the same name by Evan Wright.

I enjoyed the series, although it scared the shit out of me. The final episode ends with a video produced by one of the marines set to the song "The Man Comes Around" by Johnny Cash. The song was a perfect conclusion to seven hours in the wilderness.

Here's the scene, if you're interested.

And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts...

And I looked and behold, a pale horse

And his name that sat on him was Death

And Hell followed with him

An incredibly powerful song, nice choice. Also, I watched the debut season of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (Season 2 begins this Monday at 9 on Fox). In the season finale, this song was also used. From what I remember, maybe in the last couple of espisodes, some of the lines were quoted, but you would only know it if you know the song, which I did. I think the album is great also, American IV: The Man Comes Around. Anyway, without giving anything away, the story line built up to the use of the song, with a really fitting ending. If you wanna know, you gotta watch it. I recommend it but then again, I'm a big fan of the franchise.
