Skip Carey was 68. He was a voice of the Atlanta Braves for 33 years and part of a family line of baseball broadcasters that included Hall of Famer Harry Caray.

I don't like to hear of anyone's death, but: Skip and his son "Chip" were / are the two most annoying baseball broadcasters of all time. (wedge Tim MvCarver in there too). If only McCarver would retire and "Chipper" would move on to other "Soft" accomplishments, baseball broadcasting would surely benefit. Mind you, all three of these gravy trainers' egos would never fit into the almighty big head of Bob Costas. RIP SKIP
