It's a good list Mike but when you chop and chop down to 20 songs you get what I call "the edge effect" and miss out/leave out so much great stuff.

Not even The new Fratellis made your CD!

How about same CanCon? New Sloan, Crystal Castles perhaps?

How about some new Kooks, or The Gutter Twins! And I would have picked "Evil Urges" for My Morning Jacket, a simple difference of opinion there.

Anyway, just offering my thoughts, not meant to shoot your list down. Throw in some Ting Tings and we're golden.

I'll deconstruct the list later, but there is a good chunk of CanCon there.

USS
City and Colour
Tokyo Police Club
The Flatliners
The Weakerthans
Same Roberts
Bedouin Soundclash

That's more than 33% Canadian.

As for some of those other bands you mentioned, I really, really loved Costello Music, so I'm sure I'll love the new Fratellis when I get my mitts on it. Ya never know what will make SLS20.

Sleeping Sickness rocks even for a 51 year old.
