The Best Firefox Yet

firefoxWith more than 15,000 improvements, Firefox 3 is faster, safer and smarter than ever before. I've been using Release Candidate 2 of Firefox 3 for a couple of weeks now and I'm loving it. It's faster, that memory leak seems to have dried up and there are neat enhancements all over the place.

It's been four years since I gave Internet Explorer the boot for Firefox 0.9 and I've been converting family, friends and colleagues ever since. Try it for two days and you'll never go back. After all, it is Download Day.

First thing I did was browse to Apple's website to check out new movie trailers. The browser crashed within 2 seconds of the first quicktime file playing, and the bug report wouldn't submit. Not a great first impression...

For me, it was the fact that the Mozilla site was killed when it launched... I got FF through a slight backdoor... ok, I just guessed the HTML page for http grabbing of the exe and got it.

Now it's running awesomely.

Ajax Mike, I haven't crashed once with Firefox 3 - it's been sweet except for a few add ons that don't yet work for FF3.

Just downloaded it yesterday, Mike. I don't know how to put it into words! There's something so soft, smooth and quiet about it. Sure beats Safari. :)
