Snow

snowflakeUncle!

I give up. It's relentless. Since my shovel broke from being abused all winter long, Mother Nature hammered us again and I almost broke my back trying to clear all that snow without a damn handle on my shovel. The crack in the base I can manage, but you don't realize the importance of the handle until it's gone.

The forecast for the weekend promises another 1-3 cm tomorrow and 10-15 cm on Saturday. I give up. I need a new shovel.

I'm scheduled to play a slo-pitch tournament on Easter weekend. This one is outside in Etobicoke, and I'm thinking we're going to need snow shoes. Al Gore teased me with the promise of warm Canadian winters and now I feel cheated.

It seems like there's a snowstorm every weekend lately. Even though I love Toronto, the weather here is the absolute worst.

Oh oh, looks like the city has a shovel shortage.

There should be a law in Toronto banning anyone under the age of 40 from owning a snowblower, unless your lot exceeds x square feet.

X should be no smaller than the parking lot of the nearest Loblaws.

This gives me an idea. Who in West Toronto has a shovel for Toronto Mike?

Best shovel wins!

Where are Mel Lastman and the Canadian Armed Forces when you really need them????

Now that I've survived three Ottawa winters I feel I can totally bust on you Torontonians!!!

I was just thrilled Wed Am to wake up to about 30cm on top of an icy layer...with my husband in To for business was I ever happy to see my neighbours bearing snowblowers!

Happy shovelling!

If you want to come be HoustonMike, it's snowed a total of one (1) time(s) in 8+ years.

Mike, one would think this would be a cheaper time to buy a shovel than at the beginning of next season.

It's almost the end of the season now, so you you should be able to find a cheap shovel..
