For over a year I've been trying to get Humble Howard to tell me what look he likes for his blog. We modelled a look that resembled the cover of his book "The Slime That Men Do" but it's been in need of refreshing for a while now.
My recent entry about David Cross got Humble to visit http://www.bobanddavid.com/ and that's when Humble realized the look he likes. He likes the clean, simplified look and feel of Bob and David's site, so I went about mimicking that style for HumbleHoward.com.
Ok, I didn't mimic it. I essentially stole large chunks of the HTML and CSS and made modifications from there. Bob Odenkirk, David Cross, I'm admitting I didn't reinvent the wheel on this one and remember, imitation is the greatest form of flattery.
Check out the new HumbleHoward.com when you get a chance. It's still a work in progress, I still have some fine tuning to do, but you'll already see the uncanny resemblance.
I was just there and commented that I was a little iffy about it, mainly because I thought the Slime book should stand out more for the months of February.
