A Typical Weekday

Published by Toronto Mike on January 10, 2008 @ 16:42 in Miscellaneous

clockThere are 24 hours in a day. The bulk of my day is either spent sleeping or in an office working. 1/3rds of a typical weekday is spent doing one of those two things. That leaves 8 hours for everything else.

Everything else includes hanging with the family, eating, reading the newspaper, surfing the web, playing on the Wii, watching movies or Leaf games or whatever, showering, running, and everything else.

It's amazing I get as much done as we do. Here's a typical weekday as a lovely pie chart.

You sleep 8 hrs a day? You're wasting your life away. You make up for sleep when you're dead. Life is precious - take what you are given.
I'm early 50's & sleep at most 6 hrs a night (sometimes nap for 1-2 hrs) on weekends.
DO you really only spend 1% of your time with your family?
I spend more & my kids are 16 years old - I just spent 3 hours at a gym with 1 of my sons for Ballball (will be doing this 2-3 times/week).

Still, you're sleeping TOO much.

I do sleep 8 hours a day. I doze off between 11 and 11:15 and my alarm typically goes off at 7:20.

Whenever I do that 5-6 hours of sleep thing, I'm zonked!

I agree... it's sleep that makes the rest of life achievable. I'm a 7-8hr sleeper and I love the morning.
