33 Years and No 007

Published December 20, 2007 @ 15:33 in Movies

moviesI know a fair bit about James Bond. It's almost as if I've seen a James Bond film. Truth be told, until yesterday I had never seen a James Bond movie.

This wasn't easy. I had to avoid the following films.

  1. Dr. No (1962)
  2. From Russia With Love (1963)
  3. Goldfinger (1964)
  4. Thunderball (1965)
  5. You Only Live Twice (1967)
  6. On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969)
  7. Diamonds Are Forever (1971)
  8. Live and Let Die (1973)
  9. The Man with the Golden Gun (1974)
  10. The Spy Who Loved Me (1977)
  11. Moonraker (1979)
  12. For Your Eyes Only (1981)
  13. Never Say Never Again (1983)
  14. Octopussy (1983)
  15. A View to a Kill (1985)
  16. The Living Daylights (1987)
  17. Licence to Kill (1989)
  18. GoldenEye (1995)
  19. Tomorrow Never Dies (1997)
  20. The World is Not Enough (1999)
  21. Die Another Day (2002)

I wonder if there's another 33 year old movie loving North American male who can make the same claim. I'll bet there's not.

I am a 31 year old female who has also not seen a bond film.....much less rare I'm sure. My dad loves 007 but I managed to avoid them throughout the years. Don't have any reason...just never came up as an option I guess.

Well, I'm only 32 and I think I saw one of the Brosnan ones.. can't for the life of me remember which though. I am, however, looking forward to watching The Bourne Ultimatum after the Leafs game though.

I'll mention then that late last month I was watching nearly every* Bond film on Moviepix. Back-to-back each night, uncut, limited screen logo appearance, and in chronological order! It was in promotion with a C.R. premiere.
* upto & incl. Licence to Kill, excepting the Majesty's Secret Service film with Lazenby, plus a couple of 80s highlight shows.
