Black Music for White People

Published October 10, 2007 @ 12:49 in Lists, Music

musicWith apologies to Screamin' Jay Hawkins, I love this list of the top 10 rap songs white people love. It's a pretty strong collection of rap songs your average white person will get awfully excited about.

Here's their top ten:

  1. Sir Mix-A-Lot - Baby Got Back
  2. House of Pain - Jump Around
  3. Vanilla Ice - Ice Ice Baby
  4. Tag Team - Whoomp (There It Is)
  5. Naughty By Nature - Hip Hop Hooray
  6. Rob Base and DJ Easy Rock - It Takes Two
  7. Young MC - Bust A Move
  8. Biz Markie - Just A Friend
  9. Digital Underground - The Humpty Dance
  10. Positive K - I Got A Man

That's pretty sad, isn't it? My favourite of the bunch? You guessed it. Pack it up, pack it in... Let me begin.

Snap! It worked in Firefox, but it's out like Buster Douglas in IE.

I just replaced it with some Youtubery...

Oh yah, forgot to mention, sorry about the Leafs, my husband has officially started mourning...I however am glad we moved to Ottawa 2 years ago to spare our kids the Leafs legacy, they love those Sens and we love taking the family of 4 to games for less that $100 total...oh and parking is less than $10 too, love the site!!!!

I once thought about saving my son from the inherent pains associated with being a Leafs fan, but why let him off easy?

What the heck? No Eminem in the top 10?? At first I assumed that was because it was a list of black artists only, but House of Pain is there. Bah.
