The Blackout! Turns Four

Published by Toronto Mike on August 14, 2007 @ 08:40 in Miscellaneous

lightningFour years ago today, the power went out. I look back at that blackout and remember it as if we were powerless for days and days. No computer, no phone, no refrigerator or stove, it was tough.

As I wrote in that entry of August 15, 2003, we were only down for 24 hours and 12 minutes, but I swear time has made it feel a great deal longer than that. You'd think you could live without anything for 24 hours.

Happy blackout anniversary Toronto!

I remember that day, luckily it was mid summer not mid winter otherwise it would have been a whole lot different.
