Ren and Stimpy and Me

I loved the first two seasons of The Ren and Stimpy show that aired on MuchMusic back in the early 90s. I used to record the episodes and watch them over and over and over again. Space Madness, Ren's Toothache, Rubber Nipple Salesman and Sven Hoek were classics from Canadian animator John Kricfalusi.
In OAC (which was code for grade 13), I took Family Studies. I took Family Studies because it was as close as you could get to an OAC bird course, and I was just padding the average for University. I owned the class, and I even started to bring in my tape of Ren and Stimpy episodes for "study". Stimpy's First Fart was a classroom favourite.
If you've never seen Ren and Stimpy, join me in the TV Time Machine as we revisit 1991 and 1992 when Ren and Stimpy were relevant and I ruled Family Studies at Michael Power high school. This is Sven Hoek.

Happy happy joy joy. I guess Sven grew up in Germany, Holland...? Hm. I think he sounds a bit like Borat in some places. Stimpy & Sven are gross together. Did I sense some homoeroticism in the litter box? Was Sven supposed to sound North American when he said "Stimpy... I love this"?
I love "The Royal Canadian Kilted Yaksmen" song. & I love Chihuahuas. :)
