In an interview with George Gross of the Toronto Sun, Toronto Maple Leafs captain Mats Sundin drops a tremendous quote.
"But I will tell you one thing," he said emphatically. "The Toronto Maple Leafs will win the Stanley Cup while I'm still with the team.
That's quite the statement. Mats Sundin is 36 years old, and will probably play one or two more seasons with the blue and white. Sundin is promising a Stanley Cup in 2008 or 2009.
We'll revisit this emphatic statement at this time next year and again in two years. Sundin is either a dreamer or a prophet. I'm praying it's the latter.
