Maple Leafs 6, Canadiens 5

LeafsA regular season game has never felt more like the playoffs, and the sad thing is we may not even get there this year. In a must win game, a game that had to be won in regulation, we outscored Montreal 2-0 in the third and held on. That was tense.

It was also thrilling. Imagine if we had beat New York on Thursday and this win put us through? I can't imagine how that would have felt. I know this win felt great and now the 3:30 Islanders ~ Devils game decides all. A game that won't have Martin Brodeur in net for the Devils but a chap named Scott Clemmensen. That's right, our playoff aspirations depend on the success of Scott Clemmensen.

C'mon Clemmensen. Go Devils Go! On the holiest of days, I want the Devils to succeed.

1-0 Isles in the 2nd...

Here's hoping for a Devils comeback, but even if the Leafs do squeak through, I think they'll be blown away in the first round. Raycroft's tending just isn't playoff quality, unfortunately.

Sergei Brylin, you ass. At least get a shot away.

A Wade Dubielewicz poke check booted us from 8th and that blows chunks.

Sorry to see the season end like this, but they weren't looking like a playoff team for the past few months.
