The Therapeutic Thaw

Published by Toronto Mike on March 25, 2007 @ 12:34 in Family, Toronto News ~ Toronto Focus

sunAs recently as January I was writing about the unseasonable heat we were experiencing in Toronto. Later that month, winter did indeed arrive and February was bitterly cold. There were some chilly days earlier this month as well, but now we're enjoying our annual thaw.

It's so therapeutic. The snow melts, we return to the great outdoors and shed our layers. Nothing epitomizes spring to me like this photo I took during this glorious weekend in Toronto.

A Great Day

Anything beyond a few days is a crap shoot. I remain optimistic.

Well good for you Mike. I always wonder how they can be so sure of what the weather's gonna be like that far in advance & it can & does change. No sooner have you looked @ the forecast & it says "hot & sunny" & you look again - almost in the blink of an eye it seems & it says "cold & rainy". Argh, one of my pet peeves when I have to change what I decided to wear @ the last min. Have you put away your winter clothes yet? Do you believe in the Farmer's Almanac? ;) http://www.almanac.com/weatherforecast/ca/3
