Valentine's Day 1996

heartNext week is Valentine's Day. I'll be the first to admit I suck at these things. The whole "holiday" seems so contrived, I'd rather ignore it in protest. That, however, wouldn't go over well with Taryn.

In 1996, I actually paid to profess my love in the Toronto Star. That was sort of romantic, I think. The problem is, I don't know. We have a nice tradition going for our anniversary where we go out for ribs, but I'm unclear what's expected of me on February 14. There's no Leaf game that night, maybe we can chill and watch a flick?

Here's the Star from February 14, 1996. If you click the picture, you'll find I left a note to show you which one was from me.
