New Lights Count Down For You

This week I saw a new kind of crossing light in Toronto. It's similar to the walk / don't walk lights, except there's a counter that ticks down the seconds until it changes.

I first noticed these new traffic lights yesterday at Bloor and Bedford. It makes so much sense I'll bet we'll soon be wondering why it took so long for lights to do this.
