Hot Dog! Bad News Alert

Published by Toronto Mike on August 15, 2006 @ 17:12 in News

foodI'd like to personally thank the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha for ruining my life. Their study suggests hot dogs may contain DNA-mutating compounds that might boost one's risk for cancer.

We're talking about Toronto's official food here. Is it the objective of science to ruin everything that's even slightly enjoyable? I know hot dogs are bad for me, but I love 'em. After a concert or a ball game, there's nothing better. Now some egg heads are telling me it causes cancer. That sucks.

Ask yourself this... Do you want to live in a world where eating a hot dog is wrong? Neither do I.

I've been eatin' hot dogs for over 40 years & all of a sudden they MAY contain traces of dna molecules that MAY cause cancer. What about the Veggies & Fruit we buy from our local store from out of country that we have no clue what type of pesticides, etc.is on them. Canada's FDA is one of the best & strictest in the world & screen food sold at stores VERY frequently. No worries - have a Dog or 2 & a cold one - nothing better.

Pfft. I've had enough of hearing about new studies on how food in general is bad for you and will kill you. Screw that. We're all going to die eventually anyway. May as well enjoy ourselves.
