Plenty Of Games To Blame

LeafsWhile I was converting the November 2005 entries into MT, I came across this Leafs recap of our November 11 game against the Sabres. It was yet another game we lost by a goal but should have won handidly. We slipped to 8-7-2 but we could have easily won 12 by that point.

In the recap, I wrote "In April, when we miss the playoffs by 2 points, we'll have plenty of games to blame." We missed the playoffs by two points, and I'm blaming this November 11 game in Buffalo... and Aki Berg.

The one thing that really bugs me, apart from the fact that you root for the worst team in Canada,is your constant use of the term "we." Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't recall your name on the Leaf's roster! So, instead of saying, "we lost the game" you should say "the Leafs lost the game." Thanks!

We're all in this thing together. I may not lace up and take the ice, but I'm part of the team, in a spirtual sense.
