A.J. Joins B.J. As A B.J.

If you believe what the Globe and Mail is claiming today, our Toronto Blue Jays have agreed to a deal with free-agent pitcher A.J. Burnett that will pay the righthander $55-million US over five-years. This significant free agent signing comes only ten days after the Jays landed B.J. Ryan in the largest deal for a reliever in the history of baseball.
We're kicking around some hefty coin and we're a much better team as a result. Burnett will be our #2 behind Roy Halladay and will allow us to improve further via trades. If the Yankees or Bosox stutter just a bit, we're ready to pounce.
Go Jays Go!
