Who cares about the probable settlement of the NHL labour agreement - it's been TOO long & most haven't missed this damn sport at all. Finally the players will be getting contracts they should be & not the ridiculous offers they have been getting the last few years. It's too bad the big markets are going to suffer the most from the CAP & T.O. is unfortunately 1 of them. The last time I saw a hockey game was in April when the Battalion were in the playoffs & it's great to see youngsters playing their hearts out - not the overpaid players of the NHL. It's going to take a lot of time to get fans back to their seats & even on T.V. especially in the smaller markets. GO JAYS/ARGOS GO - The leaves (Leafs) will be falling soon as autumn is just around the corner. I do love hockey but us, as fans the last few years have been non existent with the sport lacking in entertainment in all respects.
Dream on - do I hear 40 years & counting?
UNHOCKEY NUT

I know where you're coming from.  I've decided not to give MLSE one red cent for a long while.  That means I won't be buying a single seat at the ACC or purchasing a stitch of "official" memorabilia.  I briefly considered a more radical form of protest, but I love the game and always have.  Following the Leafs is a serious passion of mine and there are so many great moments and memories along the way.  Anything more radical would just be hurting myself.

Blowing away a whole season was a terribly selfish move designed to hurt their reason for being: the fan.  I agree with you, smaller markets have an uphill battle on their hands trying to lure back the fan to the television and arena.  I, however, live in Toronto and root for the Leafs.  You know the ACC will be jam packed every night and the media will continue their blue and white frenzy.  Here, in the capital of the universe, it will be business as usual.

Go Leafs Go!
