AFI counted down what they deem to be the top 100 quotes in American movie history.  Here is their top 10.

1. "Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn," "Gone With the Wind," 1939.
2. "I'm going to make him an offer he can't refuse," "The Godfather," 1972.
3. "You don't understand! I coulda had class. I coulda been a contender. I could've been somebody, instead of a bum, which is what I am," "On the Waterfront," 1954.
4. "Toto, I've got a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore," "The Wizard of Oz," 1939.
5. "Here's looking at you, kid," "Casablanca," 1942.
6. "Go ahead, make my day," "Sudden Impact," 1983.

There are some glaring omissions on that list.  Here are five obvious ones that didn't make their top 100.

  4. "Keaton always said, "I don't believe in God, but I'm afraid of him." Well I believe in God, and the only thing that scares me is Keyser Soze." - Verbal Kint, The Usual Suspects
  5. "Hey Peter, man, check out channel 9, it's the breast exams." - Lawrence, Office Space
