As holidays go, New Years is pretty weak. I can't get excited about celebrating a change from one calendar year to the next. Today is 2004 and tomorrow will be 2005...whoopie!
To me, the changing of the calendar year is merely a convenient excuse to write and read various "best of" lists. I'll probably go to sleep around 23:00 EST tonight and skip that silly countdown crap. I'm just not into this holiday of convenience.
Enjoy tonight but please try and keep it down. I need my beauty sleep.
