The Cooler: 6 out of 10.
I heard a great deal of positive buzz about "The Cooler", so it was with great expectations that I sat down to watch it tonight. Don't believe the hype. This is a slightly better than average flick with a great performance from Alec Baldwin but nothing more. William H. Macy and Maria Bello are also good, but the story seems rudderless.
If you're looking for a killer flick about Las Vegas, three of my favourites are "Very Bad Things", "Leaving Las Vegas" and "Casino". "The Cooler" could and should have been cooler.
