One of my favorite sitcoms (if not THE favorite) also uses a laugh track, but gives it an interesting twist. M*A*S*H uses an almost obnoxious laugh track, but you'll notice it never plays in the OR even though that's where the Docs trade some of their best banter. As an added bonus, the DVDs of the M*A*S*H series have the option of turning off the laugh track altogether.

I too enjoyed M*A*S*H. It was probably more of a dramedy than a sitcom, but damn funny. That's an interesting point about their laugh track...I had forgotten they had one because I always visualize those great scenes in the operating room.
It wasn't quite the same after Trapper John left, was it?
