Taste of the Kingsway

I totally get the whole "Taste of the Danforth" thing because it's a primarily Greek district and their street festival is all about souvlaki and baklava. I get it.
What exactly is the deal with this weekend's "Taste of the Kingsway"? How exactly does the Kingsway taste?
It seems awfully forced to me.
