Weekly MP3I share an MP3 from my collection every Wednesday. You have one week to grab this weeks MP3. Please right-click your mouse and select "Save target as..." so you can download it to your PC before playing.

Aaron Lewis - Black
This MP3 is from The Family Values Tour 2001 compilation. Aaron Lewis is the lead singer of Staind and this song is a cover of a Pearl Jam song that means a great deal to me. When Pearl Jam released Ten back in 1991, I was swept away by the raw energy and emotion of all 11 tracks. From the opening waves of "Once" to the extended notes of "Release", Ten was and is an exceptional album. It would have been easy to share a track from Ten, but I'm guessing everyone already owns a copy of Ten. "Black" is a beautiful ballad from Ten and Aaron Lewis does it justice on this MP3 I'm sharing this week.

Enjoy.

System of a Down - Chop Suey!
This MP3 is from System of a Down's "Toxicity". I wrote about this song yesterday so I thought I'd share it today. It's one of my favourite tracks of all time from one of my favourite albums of all time. This song is flawless. I dare you to disagree. If you do, write a Guest Blog about it!

Public Enemy - Welcome to the Terrordome (X-Games Remix)
This MP3 is from volume two of the X-Games soundtrack. The first time I heard the original off of the excellent Fear of a Black Planet album, I thought the song sounded more like a rock song than a rap song. This X-Games remix adds some crunchy guitars to an already heavy track and blows it up good. It's a great remix of a great tune.

Sarah Harmer with The Tragically Hip - Silver Road
This MP3 is from the Men With Brooms soundtrack. It's just a sweet and charming song from Sarah Harmer (who I saw perform in Hamilton last year) with a little help from Gord Downie (who I've seen countless times). Her voice and his melt together perfectly and the result is "Siver Road". Enjoy.

Sex Pistols - Pretty Vacant
As Martin Streek is often heard to remark late on a Saturday night, "A solid song from a solid album". Oh we're so pretty, oh so pretty.
