"Molly Johnson"
Saying "Spider Jones" but only in the full Spider Jones voice
"Fiercely independent"

February 11, 2019 @ 10:05 PM

Urooj Islam

The Free Space should be any mentions of Humble and Fred.

February 11, 2019 @ 10:10 PM

Jody Thornton

Haaaaaaa! That's Great!

The bingo board I'm referring to :)

I don't think sponsor mentions or messaging should count. So "fiercely independent" is out!

Also, I think it's worth mentioning that if you play this Toronto Mike'd Bingo during my most recent ep with Mark Breslin, you'd be shutout. 0 for 20! :)

L M A O - amazing!

Some more good suggestions from Twitter:

"Real Talk" would also be a good addition

— John Breen (@breenj22) February 12, 2019

You forgot, Would [Insert Guest] come back for an epi of kick out the jams?

— Shawnny Canuck 🍁 (@HeyLitvack) February 12, 2019

This is brilliant. Missing a square for “George Bell Arena”.

— Marlon Canales (@MarlonCanales) February 12, 2019

he/she sat in that chair right there !

— Rick Maisonneuve (@maisy26) February 12, 2019

a few to add ‘my son sleeps in that bed’, ‘I still get choked up thinking about Goes Downie’, ‘I was listening to CFNY then’, ‘Freddie P is a great guy’, ‘can you put in word for me with John Derringer’ I kid Mike...this show has evolved to one one the best #realtalks out there

— Tuesday Noon (@TuesdaynoonBand) February 12, 2019

How about CFNY was my station in the 90’s.

— Neil Lewis (@nfl1965) February 12, 2019

What about nostalgia is a powerful drug?

Al has updated the Bingo Card to include a few more squares.

February 12, 2019 @ 10:14 AM

Al The Royal Pain

I also posted a template so you can create your own and play along at home. ;)

February 12, 2019 @ 10:17 AM

Mentioned this the other day in another thread, but what about squares dedicated to
whenever Food City/Price Choppers/Galleria Mall is mentioned? Also, Pearl Jam needs to
be featured, as they are name-dropped on a regular basis as well. And finally, that George Bell TM'd promo Mark Hebscher hooked him up with.

February 12, 2019 @ 10:29 AM

or some more Elvis squares:
-did Elvis listen to a specific episode? get a square (that'll be a very LONG game)
-did Elvis do his crazy laugh? get a square

February 12, 2019 @ 12:28 PM

Not Quite Mike

This is my favourite thing this year.

February 12, 2019 @ 12:42 PM

m m

Do not - I repeat - do not, turn this into a drinking game!

February 12, 2019 @ 12:42 PM

Urooj Islam

Still mindblowing to me that Humble and Fred didn't make it, you've mentioned them countless times and I think I've heard the story of one of them being at your wedding at least a hundred times.

I have heard hundreds of episodes of your show but can't recall hearing most things listed on the Bingo card. You can't make a Bingo card about your own habits yourself unless you are the most self aware human on the planet.

February 12, 2019 @ 1:26 PM

Al The Royal Pain

@Urooj Islam

I actually created the card, not Mike. Mostly to be funny.

I was inspired by another commentor's post on an Open Mike (sorry, I can't remember who).

While putting this together I realised that a card created today would be very different from a card created...say...two years ago. Back then, I would definitely include Humble & Fred and The Anne Mroczkowski vs Gord Martineau, Harold Ballard's grave, etc...

I think this card is very reflective of the past year of Mike's podcasts...but you know what, I could be wrong. I invite anyone else to create their own. I shared a blank card on twitter for those who want to do just that.

February 12, 2019 @ 2:08 PM

@m m, drinking game sponsored by Great Lakes!

I don't think I play that George Bell promo nearly enough!

@Urooj Islam

As Al The Royal Pain has pointed out, I had nothing to do with these bingo cards. I'd be too self conscious of my repetitions to even take a crack at such a thing. This really had to come from someone else.

I immediately thought it was hilarious, then I immediately wondered if I'd start to consciously avoid saying these things. I guess we'll soon find out!

February 12, 2019 @ 2:29 PM

This gave me a good laugh. Especially the Blundell and George Bell Arena squares. A few more ideas:

-"Waterfront trail"
-"Andrew Stoakley, who does the audio for the Blue Jays"
-"No one ever on the show had died yet"
-"Still working on getting Dalton Pompey's dad from Electric Circus in here"
-"In the car my kids like listening to..."

February 12, 2019 @ 4:41 PM

Toronto Mike Verified as the defacto Toronto Mike

Dalton Pompey's dad already has a square.

February 12, 2019 @ 4:59 PM

Chuck 99

You could have added a Maestro Fresh Wes square and also a "Get this gawbage outta here" square in honor of Jack Armstrong.

Toronto Joey

Anne Rohmer touched you!

No Rogue Byway mentions?

Never mind, somehow missed the square, damn Blackberry screen

The question is, what's my worst impression?

Jack Armstrong,
Spider Jones, or
Andy Frost?

February 12, 2019 @ 8:48 PM

Rick C in Oakville

Andy Frost, ;)

February 12, 2019 @ 9:21 PM

Urooj Islam

Great suggestions/additions especially the waterfront trail one.

@Toronto Mike

I've never heard your Jack Armstrong but your Spider Jones and Andy Frost are pretty decent considering how many people do those impressions.

I also do a Paul Morris.

MLG PA Announcer Paul Morris, not former HTZ-FM Paul Morris.

@Urooj Islam

You could argue waterfront trail references fall under the "I bike" square.

February 12, 2019 @ 10:04 PM

Great job Al, this is fantastic!

Mississauga Rob

What about using the word "Jam" for song... it personally annoys me :-)

@Mississauga Rob

I've been calling songs "jams" in honour of The Wire's Chris Partlow.

@Mississauga Rob

Another good one! You guys have some great memories.

A few off the board for the progressive die-hards:
cool, cool
I don't edit, are you kidding me?
This goes up about 20 minutes after you leave.

Love when Mike tries to pronounce "album"

"That's an amazing 'alblum' "

February 19, 2019 @ 11:03 AM
