I knew this day was coming but still a very sad announcement to read regardless. Having largely
taught myself to read thanks to this man's tremendous contributions to the comic book field, I
feel a real sense of loss with this one. Earlier this year his wife passed away so that had to be very
tough, but there were also many reports of alleged elder abuse at the hands of his caregivers.

About a year or so ago I read that he filmed a bunch of Marvel movie cameos all at once, so
there is a good chance that we still have a chance to catch him on-screen a few more times over the next 18 months or so. Excelsior! and R.I.P.

I haven't seen a Marvel movie in years so to me, his last "living" cameo was in the Spider-Man videogame from this last September.

Sadly, you haven't missed much!! Marvel needs to reboot and this time do it properly, minus
those tired Ultimate storylines. The Christmas full-length "Into the Spider-Verse" movie with Miles Morales and an adult Peter Parker looks quite promising, though.

He shaped the world for nearly a century, cannot look past that impact. Excelsior!
