It's almost that time in the Olympics to start pontificating on who will be the closing ceremony flag bearer.

Should it be Kim Boutin, the most decorated athlete from these games (3 medals: 2 bronze, 1 silver), or was there a gold medal performance that stood out (do Virtue and Moir carry the flag out like they carried it in?)

I'm thinking since Virtue and Moir carried the flag in, they won't be carrying it out.

That leaves three excellent candidates:

Kim Boutin
Mark McMorris
Mikael Kingsbury

I suppose it could also be Patrick Chan because he's retiring after a celebrated career in a very popular sport.

True, it could be Chan, but normally the closing ceremony goes to someone that won/did something special in the games. After I posted that comment, I saw on twitter that Boutin is the first women's short track speed skater in Canadian history to win 3 medals in one Olympics, so my money is on her.
