The Ongoing History of All Jams Kicked Out

We've had 13 jam kickers thus far in the Kick Out the Jams! episodes of Toronto Mike'd. You'll find all 13 (and counting) right here.

Listener Tyler Campbell has meticulously documented every jam kicked out and recorded this detail in a shared spreadsheet. Click here to open the KOTJ spreadsheet in Google Sheets.

It's not just which jams have been kicked out by whom, but the frequency in which each artist pops up. The Beatles, for example, have been kicked out seven times, and unbelievably, it's seven different songs.

Knowing the jams before you listen is an obvious spoiler, so I've asked Tyler to wait a week before updating the spreadsheet. Now if you're up to date and have already heard Mike Stafford's jams, click through!

Thanks, Tyler! I owe you a six-pack of Great Lakes Beer.

Have not listened to all the episodes yet but I see a lot of great music. Was thrilled that Phil Ochs , Wreckless Eric, Joan Osborne as well as other great artists were played on episodes that I have not heard yet.

Not sure why this track got no traction in Toronto, it was played on American Tripe A stations about three years ago. Morcheeba by Trigger Hippy featuring Joan Osborne and members of the Black Crowes:

It's been so much fun to listen to this series, so I wanted to give it the proper archival treatment. I've also created Apple Music playlists (for those who subscribe), which are linked on the sheet as well.

Thanks for creating this, Mike, I'll keep on top of it each week (honouring the 1-week embargo, of course)!

Only one repeat song so far - Africa by Toto. Who'd have guessed?

Wow, see what type of dedication you've inspired, Mike?

@Tyler Very cool - what a great idea. I'll check out your Apple Music Playlists. Thank you for the contribution!
