Baseball Sticker Yearbooks

As a kid, summers meant collecting baseball stickers. This was a very big deal to me in the 80s.

I've held on to some of these sticker books, and here's the photographic evidence.

I had a couple of these too. I never kept the stickerbooks though, just the cards, specifically Upper Deck. I have/had so much effing baseball/Blue Jays paraphernalia from between '89 and '93. I think my parents may have finally thrown it out now. Really rather worthless from that age.

My dad used to have many the valuable cards from the 50s, but his brother trashed them in his bicycle spokes.

I had the one with Pete Rose on the front. Such a great time to be a kid who loved baseball. I think my favourite part of those sticker books was the wide shot of each team's park. I would listen to the Jays' away games on the radio and have the book open to whatever stadium they were playing in. This way I could have a clear mental picture of what was going on.

Thanks for triggering some great forgotten memories.
