So who did he have as his guests last night?

It does mark another end to the media & television of the past.

Letterman was a far superior show when it was on NBC. Dave was anti-Hollywood. He was unattractive complete with bad hair & that huge gap in his teeth. His interviews were more along the lines of what Stern does (about the person, not the fame). You either got it or not & the truth was it didn't matter he wasn't number 1 because he was unique & different. While the stars lived in Hollywood, Letterman was New York, right down to the opening intro with the camera panning in on the World Trade Centre.

On Youtube watch the 10th anniversary show which is a year before he went to CBS.

The best of Letterman

Larry Bud Melman welcoming people to NYC at the Bus Terminal.

Dave visits his new bosses at GE (with a fruit basket).
