Road Tripping in a Buick Enclave

We decided to take a road trip to Gatineau this past long weekend. This isn't as easy as it sounds now that we're a family of five. We needed more room, and a Buick Enclave that comfortably seats 7 was ideal.

This Buick Enclave isn't just roomy, it's a dangerously smooth ride. I say "dangerously" because I kept having to remind myself the speed limit is still 100 on the 401 and 416. You could cruise at 140 in the Enclave and it's as smooth as butter.

It was also nice to have a modern car with Bluetooth and satellite radio for a road trip this long. A good playlist does wonders when you're on the road for five hours. Throw in a fresh coffee and we're all set.

Hi Mike,

That's a beautiful and rare red humpback whale you and the family rode to Quebec. Did you have any shallow-water issues along the St. Lawrence waterways?

So Mike, when do you plan on retiring the 99 Mazda? Figure out what you're gonna get next? I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure you said you almost bought a Ford Fusion last year or the year before. Fusion is a nice car but with a family of 5 I would assume you'll be getting something bigger like the Enclave or the Ford Edge.

I'm holding off until we decide if we become a family of six or not. In the meantime, I'll stick with my trusty old Mazda until it dissolves to rust.

Family of 6? Jesus man, have you heard of overpopulating the earth?

In other news, Don Draper approves of this post and would like to remind you of his motto, "That's what the money is for!"

If you really wanted to give Buick some attention, you should have driven the car up on the Hill man. See how it handled in the grass & such. "The SUV that tore up Ottawa" would be the headlines. Sales in cash rich Western Canada would soar.

Gatineau IS very nice isn't it. I am often tempted to take a job in Ottawa & move. I'm fond of Byward Market and housing costs are reasonable.

Maybe I'll take Argie with me. We could be civil servants together.
