A Hall of Famer who dominated the NL in home runs his first 7 of only 10 years. Hope I get another 20! (Years, not home runs :) )

Toronto Mike Verified as the defacto Toronto Mike

In the mid-80s, I gobbled up baseball trivia like candy. This was back when the 50-HR season was a rarity.

Kiner's 54 homers in '49 was something very special. Not only was it his second 50+ HR season, but it was the NL single season record that stood until 1997.

He was a very big deal.
