Mike C's wife is a wacko - you don't need her there on Saturday. People sure can be odd.

First, I just ordered 30 for 30 for my husband for Fathers Day, so thanks for that! Second, I am both a cancer survivor and am married to a cancer survivor and frankly I don't know which experience was worse/harder.....

All the best on Saturday Mike!

@ Mike

You have a table with 9 people & an open spot now with Mike C's wife declining.

Just for FUN - invite Cheryl.

Congrats & Good Luck

Mike, you may need to move the burbs, or find a nice cardboard box to afford to live in TO. Prices are frightening to say the least, and some of the older homes are just money pits with all the problems that go with them.

Invite George Smitherman then.

Holy Christ! Could you imagine?! I'd even pay for her meal just to hear the stories and to get a visual of what we're dealing with. What an image! Wowza.

Matt

@Liz. Agreed. People are definitely odd!

@Mike. Feel your pain when it comes to house hunting. Some of these prices are nuts! Are you looking outside of Toronto at all?

Argie

Mike,

There's only one place that I would live - outside of the (416). However, this information will cost you.

@Matt and @Argie

I've carved out a rectangle within which I'm looking... It's all in the 416.

BTW, the levels were super low on this podcast. Don't be afraid to bring that fader up to 0.

As an experiment, I'm going to try amplifying the audio in audacity...

Stand by!

That'll just bring up the noise as well. Ideally you want to correct these things when you record. But if you must take care of it in post, don't use the amplify filter, use the compression filter so you're not also amplifying the noise. If you still have noise, use the noise removal filter, it's actually pretty good on Audacity.

I've decided to just record next time with the mic gain higher.... full blast, actually. +50!

Have to agree with Al, H&F and Geeks and Beats are no problem for levels.
