So if having a family a prerequisitie to having Monday off or do single guys like me get it off, too?

Why isn't there more outrage that Christopher Dorner was intentionally burned to death without given the right to a trial?

Do the cops have new powers?

It's sickening.

February 15, 2013 @ 9:27 AM

Uh oh, here come the conspiracy theorists. He killed two innocent people - should the cops have been nicer to him?

February 15, 2013 @ 9:37 AM

@Kevin: You can move up or sideways on your family tree, too. Unless you're the last of your kin, whom have been hunted across time and space into extinction. In which case, you should be too busy fulfilling The Prophecy to worry about a silly holiday. You can rest once the Universe has been reduced to an empty, souless husk beneath the horrors of your feet.

February 15, 2013 @ 9:44 AM

This happened in Russia today. Holy shit!

No conspiracy theory, just saying he has the right to a trial. The police are not the executioners.

Can I just go to a grocery store to buy groceries and not be questioned and followed and then not believed when I tell these organizations that I don't carry cash.

I give to charities and groups of my choice.

Man, I totally agree with you. The Zehrs I frequesnt most often is terrible for allowing just about every 'cause' to set up shop on their front step.

I hate being rude to them, but I am to the point that I just ignore them when I walk in.

The one that bugs me the most is for minor sports. I have both my kids in sports, and I don't get 'hand outs'. Just because you have your kid in select/all-star, doesn't mean I should have to help them pay for their uniforms, trips etc...

February 15, 2013 @ 10:11 AM

@Ivan: Was reading about that this morning. Scary stuff. Next time people call for further reductions in space agencies' budgets, I'll remind them of that .gif.

An order of magnitude bigger, and that city would have been flattened. Bigger, and a significant portion of the countryside around the city, too.

Get a bit bigger, and-- imagine such a meteor hit centered over London. The entire UK would be vaporized. So would half of Poland, Germany, Spain. The rest of Eastern Europe would be flattened. Buildings would be leveled as far away as Nova Scotia. We'd get a damn good shaking here in Toronto.

February 15, 2013 @ 10:29 AM

How about my Habs. They won last night 1 to 0 in overtime. No PK Subban though. He didn't get any points last night. Oh well.

As for Family Day, who cares. If I don't work, I don't get paid. I will work it most likely. Also I never understood this. Why is the Post Office open Family Day, but lots of other places aren't. Who knows.

Family Day is a provincial holiday. Some other provinces have the day off, but not all. I know Alberta does.

Since it's not a federal holiday, the post office, which is federal, must stay open.

Who says he was intentionally burned to death, last I heard the cops didn't start the fire, or are you getting your info from that trustworthy rag the Star.
Besides he was going to hell anyway.

The BBC had an interesting article last year that suggested on average 91 people a year should die from asteroid strikes.

Here's the full transcript. Read this and tell me the cops didn't set the fire.

26:22 Seven burners deployed, and we have a fire.
27:05 Guys, be ready on the #4 side. We have fire in the front and he might come out the back.

48:29 Lights off, please.
49:07 [inaudible] no way
49:09 Open mike.
49:27 61-Charlie, 61-Lincoln: [inaudible] from your vantage point, you can see how it's, uh, containing itself quite well. Can you see that I don't have adequate penetration on the 2-3 yet?
49:39 Yeah, I don't see that, uh, corner yet. I'm leaving it to your call, John.
49:42 Copy that.

54:25 Hey, John, if these, uh, cabins have [inaudible] areas? Something to consider.
54:33 Affirmative, I'm told that there's basement in the cabin. So as a precaution, since the fire's self-containing itself I'm going to let that heat burn through that basement.
54:43 [inaudible] good call.
55:22 Lincoln [inaudible]
55:32 Battalion 1-31
55:50 Battalion 1-31, if you didn't copy, we're not ready for you yet. We've got live ammo going off.

56:21 61-Lincoln, did you copy that?
56:22 Negative [inaudible]
56:23 Batallion chief is advising there was a firefighter raised in that residence and he's advising the basement is 12 by 15.
56:33 The ceiling of the basement or the floor is wood or concrete?
56:48 10-5 Is the basement floor or ceiling wood or concrete?
56:57 Batallion chief, can you advise? If the basement floor or ceiling is wood or concrete?
57:29 Control 61-Lincoln. Did they advise?
57:30 They're advising on another channel, and that's affirmed, the ceiling of the basement is wood.
57:43 Control 61-Charlie. Which end of the house is the basement at? North, south, east, west?
57:53 North.
59:01 61-Lincoln, were you able to ascertain which end of the house that basement is in?
59:06 One of our deputies is checking with him now. I'm just waiting for the answer.
59:16 61-Lincoln, they're advising the west side.
59:21 That's the side that's not, uh, been penetrated by fire yet. Thank you.
59:28 10-4
00:41 61-Charlie, 61-Lincoln. The fire is doing quite well. [inaudible] penetrated the 2-3 or 3-4, where that basement is supposedly located.
00:54 [inaudible]
01:03 John, standing by for your, uh, request for Fire, whenever you're ready.
01:07 Okay, thank you.
01:18 [inaudible]
01:33 [inaudible]
01:36 [inaudible] go for dinner
01:45 [inaudible] basement on the 3-4 corner. Still smoke coming out of that window.
01:51 You guys with eyes on the back: If you, uh, see something that's catching fire that's not supposed to be, then let me know. But otherwise, let it go.
02:05 Control, 61-Charlie
02:06 61-Charlie
02:09 Whoever's talking to that firefighter who's familiar with this house: Can you also ask him if there'd be any, uh, reason for ammunition to have been in the cabin other than from the suspect?
02:23 That's affirm. Will check.
02:42 [inaudible]
02:50 61-Lincoln, we have, uh, green smoke or gas that just blew out of the burning structure deployed.
03:03 Copy. More smoke, gas, uh, deployed by suspect?
03:09 Uh, either it blew out of front or it was thrown out.
03:12 Copy.
03:26 61-Charlie That firefighter RP hasn't been in the residence in years, and he doesn't know.
03:33 10-4, thank you.
04:33 61-Lincoln, We've got, uh, good penetration with the fire at 2-3 corner. It's still doing quite well, self-containing itself. I'm gonna let it go.
04:48 The fire is self-contained, good penetration 2-3 corner.
05:35 61-Lincoln.
05:38 Go ahead.
05:39 We're getting information on 60 police band that there is a propane tank at the rear of the residence near the garage.
05:50 Copy. That's gonna be quite a ways from the fire. Should be code four.
05:57 Thanks.
05:58 Go, Tim.
06:01 [inaudible]
06:03 You're 10-1. Try again.
06:05 [inaudible] propane tank [inaudible]
06:10 Copy that.
06:44 61-Lincoln. Just info, we're gonna get on 21 with that batallion chief.
06:50 Just know the, uh, floor on the number 1-2 corner, which is the east side has collapsed. I don't know if that's where the basement is at, or [inaudible]
07:54 61-Lincoln, 61-Sam wants to know how many feet the fire is away from the propane tank.
08:00 [inaudible] can you answer that?
08:07 10-9?
08:12 Nickel. Enter. Can you answer that question?
08:14 [inaudible]
08:19 Confirming: 70 yard?
08:20 [inaudible]
08:23 Control, 61-Lincoln, Do you copy 70 yards?
08:28 That's affirm, 70 yards. Thank you.
09:05 [inaudible] our people are [inaudible] and
09:06 Open mike.
09:07 That one kid died.
09:09 Open mike!
09:11 How quick they get that crap out. It was quick. They were getting the news before we were getting it, so we--

I couldn't help but notice that the transcript concludes with several cries of "Open Mike!"

I guess you've come to the right place...

If you don't listen to my podcast (most recent episode is at by the way), I'm very curious why.

Is it:

a) I don't listen to podcasts
b) I haven't got around to it, but I will now
c) I don't like your crummy podcast, Mike
d) what the hell is a podcast?

It never happened on Il Duce's retelling was very entertaining, but he missed some key details.

Most of the back and forth was via email, usually him writing Humble Howard. A little of it spilled onto the old blog that he stopped maintaining a few years ago.

And I only banned his IP address from commenting here when I had enough of the email abuse. I never would have banned an IP address b/c I didn't like the commenting, as you can appreciate. :)

@Mike my answer is (C).

So what to do: My son is in Grade 3. I believe he's being bullied. Virtually every day a boy in the same grade excludes him from play, calls him names (Bitch was yesterday), and made my son cry on the bus last week from taunting. I tell DS to stay away from him and such, but it's hard to do. The other boy's mother is my good friend and oblivious about her son's behaviour and refuses to address it. It's come to a point where my son's work may be negatively affected (teacher asked me last week if he's being bullied).

What do I do? Talk to the principal? Talk to the boy's mother? Ignore? Help?

February 15, 2013 @ 12:05 PM

@Mike: Ah, statistics. They're fun when trying to average out an irregular and (effectively) unpredictable event:

So, once again, back to that figure of 91 deaths.

This now begins to make more sense when you realise that it is an average taken over millennia, in which almost all years show no deaths, but a few isolated events cause massive casualties. In fact, the figure of 91 deaths is almost evenly balanced between more frequent, smaller-scale impacts, and statistically very infrequent globally catastrophic impacts.

It'd be like trying to figure out how many people "should" die in the US due to terrorist attacks, by averaging out the deaths from Oklahoma City, 9/11, etc., over time. =)

It's a shame he got the easy way out though, spending the rest of his life in solitary confinement would've been fitting.

From what I have read The Florida Highway Patrol will defer enforcement of violations. It's not over until this law is removed from the books. An additional concern is that your vehicle insurance policy requires that you are authorized and qualified to drive. Are you in violation of your insurance policy if this law is still on the books?

When I hear about a kid getting bullied, I get really pissed.

This is my advice: Tell your kid to tell other kid "fuck off you little faggott". That's right folks I used the dreaded 2nd f word. When he tells his mother (your friend), things will finally become clear to her that there's a problem. Trust me, this will at least get the ball rolling. In the mean time, teach him to fight.

February 15, 2013 @ 2:17 PM

Please don't follow Argie's advice.

You're right, it's just a word, but watch this clip from Louie and you might stop using it.

February 15, 2013 @ 2:30 PM

@Mike I listened to two podcasts and found them to be long-winded and boring. Honestly, I couldn't take Rosie cutting you off all the time. I may listen to the Il Duce one because I actually have a connection to him in a six-degrees of separation kind of way.

Re: bullying. So other parents have approached this mother and told her stories. She simply refuses to believe them. Then she says that children have a way of sorting things out by themselves. There was yet another incident on the bus this morning so I'm going to have to talk to the mother and give her some facts.

@Argie. I do tell DS to stick up for himself, but not using the words that you suggest.

February 15, 2013 @ 2:35 PM

Argie is right go for shock value.

Talk to the mother and the principal. This doesn't always work but at least you've tried.

If that fails tell your son to defend himself. Words don't always work with kids and unfortunately you do have to get physical sometimes to get your point across. I speak from experience, I was bullied in school as well.

February 15, 2013 @ 2:36 PM

@Elba Thats another thing that pisses me off, kids don't "sort it out themselves" Sounds like that woman is in denial.

February 15, 2013 @ 2:39 PM

Listen to the Il Duce one, please. And let me know if it's better. There's much less cutting off now.

February 15, 2013 @ 2:40 PM

Great scene however buddy's story is a complete myth. Its been magnified by gay activists everywhere. Unfortunately 30-something liberal weenies easily buy and it becomes the truth.

People shouldn't go around using that word but in the case of this kid being bullied, he should use whatever means to stop it.

February 15, 2013 @ 2:42 PM

Toronto Mike Verified as the defacto Toronto Mike

Regardless of whether the origin story is completely true, this is the part that really resonates with me.

"You might want to know that every gay man in America has probably had that word shouted at them when they were being beaten up. Sometimes many times, sometimes by a lot of people all at once. So when you say it, it kinda brings it all back up."

February 15, 2013 @ 2:45 PM

@Mike I'm curious what made you ask about podcast listeners? Not as many downloads?

February 15, 2013 @ 2:50 PM

Toronto Mike Verified as the defacto Toronto Mike

I mainly ask because the number of unique visitors to this site far exceed the number of listeners, and I'm naturally curious why someone would read the Open Mike but not listen to the podcast.

Of course, the number of unique visitors also far exceed the number of commenters, but that's always been the case.

Using fake numbers, it would look something like this:

# of people who will read this Open Mike: 10000
# of people who will comment on this Open Mike: 50
# of people who will listen to episode 24 of Toronto Mike'd: 400

So if I can learn from some of the 50 commenters who don't listen, it will educate me and I will be a wiser person.

February 15, 2013 @ 3:01 PM

I agree the word carries weight like other derogatory names but if a kid at that age, is living in fear he has to use whatever it takes to stop it. The next step is violence and after that the parent should approach the other parent.

No kid needs to deal with extreme bullying because some in today's society can't handle a certain word. Fuck sensitivities and stop the problem.

I don't think I've ever sworn before on this blog so you can tell I'm sincere about how I feel about this topic. Anyway, that's my advice to Elba.

February 15, 2013 @ 3:01 PM

Mississauga Phil

@ Mike - i don't agree with the wording that Argie chose, but I do agree with the sentiment behind it. It has been my experience that bullies only back down when they are confronted. If Elba's son pops him one in the nose and draws a little blood, the bully will find an easier target to taunt...not that this solves the problem of this bully, but it will at least get him off her son's case....

February 15, 2013 @ 3:35 PM

That would be the next step. Try the verbal route first but if that doesn't work, bash the kid in the nose, or chin.

February 15, 2013 @ 3:42 PM

@Argie and Phil Agreed! Sometimes violence is the only way to stop the bully.

February 15, 2013 @ 4:20 PM

Is there a Hit-Girl Elba's son can form an alliance with? You'd have to get the kid a scuba suit though.

As a podcast junkie, and regular listener of Toronto Mike'd, I'd encourage people to give it a try, and give podcasts a try. But... I have to say I wasn't all that taken with the Il Duce story. Nothing against Il Duce, but I didn't think it was a compelling story the way it was told, or maybe it wasn't told by a storyteller. It was/is an interesting anecdote, but I just didn't get into it.

Disclosure-I didn't know Il Duce was the Palma guy. Here's what I thought about the Il Duce story- Ever been in restaurant or bar, there's a table of people concentrating on one guy, laughing uproariously at the talk and stories and jokes of that one guy at the table? You hear all, but it isn't funny and you don't get what everyone is all excited about. You don't get it because you don't know the guy, and all those people around him do know the guy. If you knew the guy, you'd be laughing and hanging on his every word too.
That's how I felt listening to the Il Duce story. I'm sure everyone who knows Il Duce and Toronto Mike will love it, but for me, meh. I liked the story, I would have been more interested in the short version.

So, for people who might try out the podcast, I'd suggest some of the other episodes first. Compared to the hundreds of podcasts on all subjects I've subscribed to, amateur and professional, I'd say Toronto Mike'd is very well produced, as good and better than some of the big names in podcasting.

Interested to know if Toronto Mike'd listeners are podcast listeners in general, or just Toronto Mike people.

@Mike - not enough time to listen. I mentioned my situation, which is probably similar to many. I listen to podcasts while commuting on the GO, because during that time I don't have a single other thing to do but sit on my butt for 40 minutes. I don't have to talk to interact with another person, but those are the only minutes I have in the day to shut myself out. I started listening to H&F, and that chews up my entire commute. Just no time for yours or anyone else's.

So you're saying you'd listen to my podcast if something were to happen to the Humble and Fred podcast. Perhaps the MP3 file could be deleted from the server or corrupted?

February 15, 2013 @ 5:30 PM

@Toronto Mike
You aren't getting enough exposure from H&F. They could have put one of your episodes on the end of the shortened snow day podcast, or used one of your episodes to fill part of a holiday/day off schedule .
You aren't being properly appreciated by H&F. Take matters into your own hands. Ask permission later.

I'm content with my spot as the second most listened to podcast on the Humble and Fred Network.

February 15, 2013 @ 5:55 PM

Humble and Fred wouldn't dare expose a decent podcast. I'm someone who knows about their jealousy and pettiness.

Mike- I'm one of the 10,000 who regularly read your blog but don't here goes.
Your blogs are interesting and very well written. Podcasts are OK but your daughters (she's adorable) and your girlfriends (great voice) kept me interested for about 3 mins. Not a great idea....another question for you. Is this your only job or do you have a "day job"? Not judging, just asking the question.

No offense meant for anyone involved.

Glad McGuinty is Gone

Declan wrote: "The best thing McGuinty did for us is this Family Day. I really need a long weekend right about now!".

The best thing McGuinty did for us is quit. For the bazillions of us who are only "fortunate enough" to work on contract as the province is so loath to enforce employment standards, it's simply a forced day off without pay.

Spending the day in suburban Detroit. Nice people and places. Funny accents. Tarawna has nothing on this.

I'm B on the multiple choice question. Just haven't had much time since the new year, but travelling is starting up again, and thats when i get caught up, can only take so much crab report on the CBC in St, Johns. Encourage your daughter to keep at it, if anything it will give her the confidence to do public speaking which terrifies about 95% of most kids. Heck she may end up with a show like that Daniel kid did.
As for Elba's dilemma, if you know the parent well, a conversation with them can't hurt. Most parents in our neighbourhood took quite seriously if their kid was accused of bullying. Good Luck.

February 15, 2013 @ 9:04 PM

Holy Shit, Toronto Mike peeps! This weekend thing never fails to amuse.

UGH! I wish I'd waited until the morning to check out the showcase 'Cornucopia of Kooks' (she says lovingly - being one of them) because I am too tired to do any kind of justice to the many 'bon mots' here today.

But, I will try - quickly (I type super quickly :).

Everyone, I caution you to hold your shit because I am about to agree with my buddy Argie. I know...I know...

But today, this complex fellow has it right (the bullying thing).

He wrote the 'second F word' - big deal; that's not part of his core message. @Mississagua Phil expresses my sentiments better than I. And, I find that this dude is typically sensible in his views and comments (if memory serves).

Make no mistake, the Puke (that's right, elevated to capitalization status) f'ing with Elba's boy needs a bit of his own bullshit. These 'co-operative play' broads running the school boards and teaching in them are a gigantic factor in the pussification of the school experience (Stafford did a stellar job on this very topic this week - using Margaret Wente's column as a jumping off point).

Agreed, the second f-word is, well, loaded but by the same token we assigned too much value to certain words (hence, their so-called heft).

Ultimately, if Elba's boy drops the aforementioned little puke, he'll take his pussy ass show elsewhere. One well-landed 'fuck you punch' will do the job. The ridiculous part? The little puke will run straight to an estrogen-cranked teacher and Elba's sweet young dude will likely be suspended. This is SO not a big deal in the elementary years.

FYI - Oh ya, and that permanent record bullshit? It's exactly that.

@Toronto Mike

I really LOVE Miss Monica's voice - she sounds smart, focused and personable. The podcast you and she did together flowed well. I would like to hear more from her. You sounded much, much stronger from a presentation point of view because the contact was natural and authentic. While I look so forward to listening to your podcasts with Rosie, you two still have yet to find your dance - the natural dance. I could explain this much better, I know.

As for Michelle's podcasts, I LOVE them. And, I find them encouraging and inspirational. Why? I'm a sucker for a little girl with the gumption to get this done and to do it well beyond her grade level. This sweet little miss is going places. Maybe this wee spark-plug reminds me of the path not taken - back in the day I was accepted to Ryerson's Broadcast program and the J-School. Would'da. could'da, possibly should'da? Don't think so - just marvelling at how different that application process would play out today.

And I am ALWAYS a sucker for the @Fake Cheryl - this was so friggin' good that I thought it was original work. This person should post as often as possible. Yes, I am ridiculous and laugh my stupid ass off at @Fake Cheryl (the other one makes me super aggravated).

Hey, any Downtown Abbey kindred spirits out there in Toronto Mike land?

The person pissing and moaning about a'forced day without pay'...really?

I just deleted what I wrote about transcript dude - why? It's the Friday of a long weekend - that's why. And, in the current vernacular, "I ain't got NO time for that" (which references a wildly popular YouTube featuring a woman called Sweet Brown woman who escapes a fire). Proof I have an almost 18-year old? The fact I even know about this.

Here comes the weekend! Toronto Mike, you sucker for punishment, do yeomen service here.

@Liz - sensible is as sensible does (if that makes any sense)

There are people on this site who would tell you I'm an idoit....I just call it as I see it.

February 15, 2013 @ 10:57 PM

Pissing and Moaning?

Hardly. "Forced day off without pay? Fucking right. Really.

Stick with what you know - the world will thank you.

February 15, 2013 @ 11:08 PM

Well, talk to the kid's mother and the principal about the bullying. Maybe talk to the teacher as well. I know what it's like to be bullied. I was bullied in school before and it's not fun.

Well, you're right, I don't use the phonebook. I'm blind. I can't read it. I use It's either that or just call 411, but I hardly ever call 411. Who needsd them if there is canada 411 on the web.

This Sweet Brown remix will stay in your head all day:

February 16, 2013 @ 8:24 AM

Ok I will say it....I believe that Matt Cooke deliberately injured Karlsson. He turned his skate sideways and stomped down. Watch the clip closely. He took advantage of the situation and deliberatly injured him.

I cannot believe how angry the media is getting when someone thinks it was deliberate. They all think it was a freak accident. Makes me wonder why they are all so angry if someone has a different opinion.

Look at it closely....he raises his skate and stomps the ankle while his skate is turned sideways. Looks suspicious to me.

@FakeCheryl Love it. Jealous that I didn't think of it first, but then I probably couldn't have pulled it off as well.

@Argie, I agree with the standing up part, but the fagot part is unnecessary, especially when asshole would achieve the exact same thing.

@TOMike, I am catching up on my H&F listening and I am getting all of your podcasts in between. Like @Liz, I'm a sucker for a little girl with guts.

BTW, @TOMike, I might have to ban your IP if you start messing with H&F's podcast files ;-)

PS, @Cheryl, the Habs suck as do the Suns and curling is boring. Go Leafs Go!

XML that now points to She's So Young, making my daughter the most popular podcaster in Etobicoke!

I realize the 2nd f word is offensive to many people. Its funny how no one has an issue with the 1st f word. That really shows how our society has changed.

Anyway, if you want to substitute the 2nd word go ahead. The goal here is to get that little puke to stop. You want it to stop there - essentially avoid any violence. The last thing I want is for Elba's boy to get hurt.

I'm sorry if I offended you last week. You sound like a kick ass chick. God love ya!

February 16, 2013 @ 2:51 PM

@Phil, I do not think anyone here thinks you are an idiot. You do have some far out there ideas though. I would say you are more of a simple person, but the world needs simple people.

February 16, 2013 @ 8:15 PM

I love hockey & baseball.
I was given 2 tickets for tonight's Leafs Sens game last week & said NO THANKS. I'd rather watch on TV than give the Greedy Bstrds anything paying for parking, munchies & a $ 20.00 draft - LOL

February 16, 2013 @ 8:50 PM

1-0 Leafs what a boring game.
We need bob cole back.

February 16, 2013 @ 9:01 PM

Oops 2-0 leafs still a boring game

February 16, 2013 @ 9:22 PM

I didn't listen to the Leafs. I listened d to my Habs. They won last night 4 to 1. I'm happy even though my favourite, PK Subban didn't score. He'll score next time though. My Coyotes also won 5 to 3. It was a great night except for the Leafs winning, of course.

Bob Cole was calling the Habs game last night.

February 17, 2013 @ 9:29 AM

@ Mike

With regards to your question on why I don't listen to you podcast, for me there isn't enough time in the week to listen to another podcast. Monday-Friday I try to listen to as much of the 8 hours of talk radio shows I listen to. There are then the 3 hours of talk radio shows on the weekend. In addition to the actual radio shows, the weekend shows have a weekly podcasts as well. After that is all said an done I still try to listen to 4 other weekly podcasts. Given that I can't really keep up with what I am currently listening to, I don't have time to add another podcast to the mix.

February 17, 2013 @ 2:08 PM

@Phil, name calling is a form of bullying. You really are hypocritical at times. If you re-read my post, you will see that I was complimenting you.

February 18, 2013 @ 11:14 AM

Mississauga Phil much for the truce I guess..

@ Dave - Calling me simple is a compliment?? Really. Oh, and the bully comment is rich comming from you. You who attack the intellegence of anyone who dares disagree with you. Who can't put up 1 logicaal argument when someone challenges your viewpiont, you just reslut to personal attacks.

You're a sad person who is clearly bitter with the world and uses this forum to burn off some pent up rage...

Honestly man, I'm gonna find Lorne's blocker app and be done with you...Argie acts the way he does because it amuses're just angry and pathetic..

February 18, 2013 @ 11:20 AM

Dave Williams

@Phil, honestly why all of the hostility? Not once have I attacked anyone on this blog including yourself. You have some inner hatred that views anyones opinion of you in a negative way unless it is the one that you think you really are.
Simple is not stupid, simple is actually refreshing. Some people are too complex and their message gets confusing in their verbiage.
I will excuse your stinging hurtful words as you clearly over reacted to something that you did not understand.

February 18, 2013 @ 4:25 PM

bob Cole didn't broadcast my Habs. I get the radio broadcast of the games on the net. It's a radio broadcast, which is better than a TV broadcast. Another great night last night. My Habs won and my Coyotes won, but no goals by PK Subban though. He'll score tonight. Unfortunately the Leafs won. Well, good night after a day of being sad over Mindy McCready.

February 19, 2013 @ 7:38 AM

How do I "act"?

February 19, 2013 @ 8:41 AM

Dave Williams

@Argie, don't be hard on Phil. He apparently has issues with anger to work out. I can live with his clear hatred towards me, in hopes that this direction of hatred, takes away the potential physical hatred on someone else. We have seen too many examples in the press lately of certain types of individuals that explode in violent fashion against others, due to their own personal inadequacies. I am praying that Phil is not that type of person, but his defensive outbursts over a misunderstanding that was beyond his comprehension lead me to believe that he has that inner enragement, that I am sure the few people in his personal life see.

February 19, 2013 @ 2:29 PM

My Habs won again last night 3 to 1. They're great and the Leafs lost. Wonderful. My Suns won as well. It was a wonderful night, that's for sure, but no goal by PK Subban though. One day my favourite plaayer will get a goal again.
