Hard to take the loss of a true friend. We have an 18 year old "kitty" (Felicity) and will be quite distraught when she goes. Can quite imagine how badly you are feeling.

Here she is with my son on his 3rd birthday.

And here she is with my daughter when she (my daughter) was two.

For 15 years she slept on my pillow and I would wake up wanting to move her so I could get comfy, but I never would. I never wanted to disrupt her sleep.

Damn, I'm sad...

Sorry to hear bud. To say dog's are amazing is an understatement.

Ours was put down while I was away. Still mad I didn't get a chance to say goodbye.

They truly are man's best friend.

Condolences Mike. If my Math is right She was 17 years old (119 in dog years!!!!)That is an amazingly long life...she was your pet and your children's first pet. I'm willing to bet there are a bunch of good memories. Celebrate the long happy life of Booner, mourn the death, but celebrate the life.

Dogs are family to those who love them...the ones we love are never gone as long as we remember.
