Episode 19 should have been done in my honour. Agree about the song by Gord Downie. Awesome rarity!

Rosie, I agree completely with you re the unfunny prank call. Fortunately the news was good about Kate. What if that had not been the case? What if the nurse had said she was miscarrying? Isn't it illegal to misrepresent yourself as the Monarch? It should be.
Mike, I share your opinion about Tim Horton's coffee. Yuck!!!

Love the podcast - I just thought that a World Series MVP award might have counted for an episode dedicated to my number. I guess it wasn't meant to be this season. Like your beloved Leafs, I will just have to wait till next year.

You're right about the crazy nurse - the DJs are only guilty of being unoriginal and unfunny.

Did you really weep during Halleluiah? Get a grip!

@Argie hyperbole. I was misty. It's a weep-worthy song though, especially when k.d. lang sings it

kd has a great voice - he's one of my favorites....

That prank call was pretty funny. Those accents weren't even that good.

Mike I'm glad you found this funny. Like Rosie said you shy away from so called "inappropriate" humour. Come on over to the dark side Mike!

I can't believe these DJs got in trouble. They did nothing wrong.

Rosie made a great point about celebrity culture and elevating these people to god like status. They don't deserve it and the monarchy is no different. All it is, is a fancy title attached to their names. Do they even do anything now a days?

Sucks Bookie is leaving. I enjoy listening to DJs from the past when radio meant something. The way Mike goes on about the old CFNY, I feel like I missed out. Radio doesn't have the magic it did back then. Thankfully we still have guys like Paul Morris at 97.7 the guy oozes passion, and I feel like thats missing from most radio these days.

Tom Cheek getting into the hall is well deserved!

URL is another funny prank call.

BTW Rosie there is no crying in podcasting.

Great hour.

See if Pepsi will sponsor it and we'll call it the Pepsi Power Hour.

Original, eh?

Seroiusly though, great stuff.

I remember seeing a preview screening of this movie back in 2004 and enjoying Mr. Downie's
version of this song as well as the great orchestral accompaniment. Would have been great to
hear more music from him in this direction. Hopefully there will never be any posthumous Orchestral
Tragically Hip albums similar to what the Presley estate has done over the last several years. Not
that I don't think that many of their songs would be great with orchestration, it's just that such
projects often don't work. The Metallica collaboration with Michael Kamen being a rare exception.
Thanks for reminding us all about this one!!
