Lincoln was a great guy including a Companion of the Order of Canada.

Weird though in Ottawa, City Hall has lowered the flags in honour of Lincoln, Parliament Hill's Peace Tower flag still flies at full staff (live photo here: http://parliamenthill.gc.ca/camera-eng.html) despite rules saying differently (see #6 here: http://www.pch.gc.ca/eng/1329153045577/1329153291582).

I met him a handful of time at The University of Guelph and he even handed me my degree back in 2002. I'm sad to hear about his passing. He was a wonderful person.
