I Have 10 Ferrari Fan Zone Tickets for Toronto Indy to Give Away

Ferrari Fan Zone Tickets for Toronto IndyThe fine folks at Ferrari are giving me 10 Ferrari Fan Zone tickets to give away to readers of this blog. The Ferrari Fan Zone is a dedicated area just for enthusiastic Ferrari and racing fans at the Toronto Indy on July 7 and 8.

To enter, go here. This contest closes June 28 and the winners announced on June 29. The odds are pretty incredible, and you know Ferrari is going to do things up nice, but you can't win if you don't enter.

If you like Ferrari, cars or racing, I'm thinking it's a no-brainer to enter this one.

If less than 10 people enter, the odds of winning are 100 per cent!

That's what I'm saying!

The odds are through the roof... and you know Ferrari is going to spend some money on their Fan Zone. And gear heads would go nuts seeing the cars and shit.

Winners get Ferrari memorabilia, too. No free cars, though.

I have zero interest in any kind of racing, but I went to the Indy twice (free tickets).

The first time, I was running late and couldn't find my section of bleachers. By the time I found the section, I heard the announcer saying "thanks everyone for attending today's race". ie I missed it and didn't see a single car..at all. Not one.

The second time was last year when I was given some tickets to some cheesy VIP Budweiser Zone. But it was at one of the turns and the cars were going about 10 miles an hour. What's the point of that? Plus the small section of bleachers was completely full, so again, I barely saw a car.

I suspect most of these promo & comp tickets are just to fill up empty spaces (looks good on tv), beef up sponsorships and sell additional beer to people who are mostly interested in the party aspect of the Indy.

I remember too that with all the chaos and noise going on in the Bud zone i was in last summer, I didn't even know who won the damn race until i got home. There's something basically wrong with that.

So grab your free Ferrari swag, check out the new models and get out of there?

Here's hoping the Ferrari Fan Zone is more fun than your experiences.

I'm hoping for a week-long Ferrari test drive.

I had a (last minute) free invitation to a Toronto Indy race, years ago. The assigned seats were across from the noisy pit lane. One of men caught on fire.
Mind you, I also once tried out for a grade nine basketball team (in an all-white suburban school). Someone had to miss the cut ;)

@ Ryan G - You can't put down an event just because you don't understand it.. Racing has so much involved in it - not just a bunch of cars going around and around.. Its like me saying ballet is boring and useless - when really its a case of me not really understanding it.

Racing does well - Huge crowds.. The Toronto Indy has struggled lately mainly because of the open-wheel division years between CART and IRL. But now that they have come together again the fan base is growing again.
Most races will draw over 50,000 people.

I don't recall saying I didn't understand racing. I just said I wasn't interested. It's just my opinion. You clearly enjoy it so go knock yourself out.

It's like Whitney Houston. I despise her music but it would be crazy for me to say she's a bad singer.

Racing just isn't for me.

Other things that just aren't for me include:

-chess. i'm amazed however to see hobos in parks playing chess. if they're smart enough to play chess, aren't they smart enough to get a job somewhere?

-any kind of card game, especially euchre, because people have "euchre parties", and i just don't want to go to a party like that.

-cake. i don't like any kind of cake. especially that black forest cake which seems to be wet.

-parades. i was in a damn marching band when i was a kid which was bad enough. what's worse is that i wasn't even good enough to play a damn instrument. i carried a flag. and i had to hold said flag a certain way otherwise the drum major would yell at me.

@ Ryan - Bro we might as well be twins! Wow..

1- Whitney Houston.. Has a good voice, but I too HATE her music
2- I HATE card games
3- I could careless about cakes.. except for some really good Italian cakes.
4- Parades... Half the times the floats have nothing to do with the theme of the parade! Look at 80% of the christmas parade floats, most don't have even a winter theme to them.

But racing is fascinating if you really understand everything going on.. Pit stratgies, speed issues. etc.

I don't care for Whitney Houston, either... but acknowledge she had a great voice.

I love Euchre.

In my more bloated days, I liked a nice slice of chocolate cake and milk.

The Santa Claus Parade is great for one reason and one reason only. The kids love it. I won't miss it for that reason, but once my daughter outgrows it, I'm done. It's strictly for the kids.

@ Mike - Whitney Houston had a great voice.. But like Mariah Carey,Christina Aguilera and many others who people label "singers" - and really aren't.. There's a big difference between singing and screaming... Many of them cross that line.

Are these all part of the same 10 ticket giveaway or separate - as Mike and the other two onliners have independently each stated "they" were given 10 tickets with a dedicated contest page?

June 23, 2012 @ 11:12 AM

Mike from Lowville

I got two free tickets!

July 5, 2012 @ 12:18 PM

There were alot more than 10 tickets given out!

@CQ: There were several news outlets given tickets to give away to their readers, it wasn't a scam.

23 winners, instead of 10 were given tickets from my entries.

No scam at all... in fact, over 20 people got tickets from my link alone.

I'd like to hear from someone who entered and didn't win - I'll bet you there are very, very few, if any.
