I know, but it's still funny....:)

I'm sure it was an acutal line from the movie Still the Beaver (March 19, 1983);

June was looking toward the heavens and talking to a deceased Ward and asked him if she was a little hard on the Beaver last night.

June 1, 2012 @ 12:30 PM

Hush now, don't be all talkin' jive 'bout June. Ya dig?

Adam Yauch, Donna Summer and Robin Gibb died in May...how the hell is Keith Richards still alive!

June 1, 2012 @ 2:50 PM

Mississauga Phil

@ mike - Keith Richards has been dead for 20 years, it's just that years of drug and alcohol intake have left him very well preserved....

Or as a buddy used to say, "So-and-so died six months ago, he just hasn't fallen down yet!"

I pity people who do not believe in heaven. It must be so sad to go through life thinking that when your loved ones die you will never see them again.

People cancel dinner plans a day in advance because of rain?

Snow maybe, but rain?

Nick Lidstrom retired yesterday
as one of the best overall NHL players ever on & OFF the ice.

Jean Beliveau was the other.

True gentlemen & GREAT hockey players.

P.S. @ Cheryl do you know who MR. BELIVEAU is?

Can't believe the teacher in Edmonton being suspended for giving students ZERO on their reports, counter to the misdirected policy of the school board.
We are just setting up these kids to be non functioning adults when they get out to the working world.
Then again they may get a position within the education system and all will be well.

Yeah, and it's all unionized, so they'll do just fine.

My wife is in the school system, and it's absolutely sickening to see kids get passed through from one grade to the next when they can barely write their name on a piece of paper.

Our son is a good student, but like me, it doesn't come naturally. He has to work for his marks. It really sticks in his craw when students who misbehave or don't show effort get coddled and pampered, and worse, get special privileges to enable further bad behaviour or lack of effort.

Well, the rain was so bad. They had no choice but to cancel. If June has the most daylight, yesterday didn't show for it. It was dark all day. This did not seem like a summer day at all and yet no hockey. This is why we need hockey all year round.

You've been drinking the Kool-Aid too long, sport. The dangling carrot held out to you by the brain washers obviously has worked!

As Tony S. said, "Everything goes black." Game, set and match.

You ain't gonna see anybody ever again!! Nice fairy tale though.

P.S. Having a great time while here!!!

Well I guess we will both find out when the time comes. I think heaven is a nice thing to believe in whether it be a fairy tale or not
